Imagine you run a furniture showroom. Someone sees your sofa on Facebook and comments, “Price?” You reply, “Please check your inbox.” What happens next depends on how much work you leave for the customer.
They may like the sofa but still need to know whether it fits through their doorway, whether you deliver to their area and whether they can try it in person. A good Facebook post answers enough of those questions to make a showroom visit worth considering.
Write the post your customer wishes you had written

Compare “New collection available. DM for details” with this example:
Looking for a sofa that fits along a six-foot wall? This compact three-seater is on display in our showroom. The photos show its full width, seat depth and available fabrics. Send us your wall measurement and delivery PIN code on WhatsApp, and we’ll help you check the fit and get a delivered price.
The second post gives someone a reason to pause, a way to picture the product at home and a specific question to ask. You can use the same approach for a service. If you run a catering business, show the menu and table setup for a 30-person gathering, then invite readers to share their guest count and date.
Put your advertising budget behind a buying question
Before promoting a post, decide what a useful response would look like. For the furniture showroom, it might be a message from someone in the delivery area asking to see a particular model this weekend. That gives you three decisions straight away: which locations to cover, which sofa to feature and what the message button should invite people to do.
When enquiries arrive, make a simple note of which ones led to a showroom visit or quotation. A popular photo might earn plenty of reactions. A quieter post showing the sofa’s dimensions might bring in the customers who actually visit. That’s worth knowing before you spend again.

What would a buyer ask about your business?
Think about the question customers ask just before they place an order. It could be “Do you deliver here?”, “Can I see a sample?” or “Is my date available?” Build your next Facebook post around the answer.
